Fail! A bit about value
Oct 072009

Orey here,

So I figured, I’m up and just finished my homework, might as well post something.
I watched the Cleaveland Show’s first two episodes today and I have to say I actually liked it. While not as funny as family guy with its in your face non stop jokes, this show was more touching and actually had you caring for a character or two, if only for at least a second. What I did wonder is how Cleaveland Jr. went from being a skinny short hyperactive kid, with the attention span of a gold-fish, to a fat 14 year old somewhat mentally handicapped kid that you actually feel a bit sorry for. I dunno, he really was a nice kid that kept getting bad shit done to him and it made me feel bad for him rather than laugh. But then again, he does have funny moments where he is almost a player and a smart character. It seems this show is the more “simpson-ized” version of Family guy. While still offering cut-away jokes and good old family guy slap-stick, it actually uses jokes from whats happening at the moment and really tries to connect with the viewer (more than in family guy at least) and in some ways it was more like a sitcom.
I’d give it a 3.6 out of 5, it was nice and can be a fun show that may perhaps draw us in a little, though not nearly as funny as other shows such as the simpsons or family guy. I’d call it a hybrid of the two… or a demonic offspring, take your pick. I so far liked it, and the theme song is catchy too.

Also, on a completely random note, I’d like to take credit for making the word “Motorboatable”…
(I’m not the resident perve) ;-) “looking at you Krillin”
